How do I become a client of Fruit&Veg?

Once you have applied to become a customer of Fruit&Veg, you will be issued with an account number for all future orders and communication. You can apply to become a client of Fruit&Veg by:

  1. Filling out our online Register Page here. You will be e-mailed further documentation that we require for internal purposes.

How do I place an order with Fruit&

Once you are an approved customer of Fruit&Veg, you can order in 5 different ways:

1.Answer Phone (up to 12:30am) 0800 046 3010

Please state your company, delivery day and order details. Please be as specific as possible when ordering, including product amount (if unsure how our products come, please log in and check our live product list).

2. Fax (up to 12:30am) 0800 046 3011

Please fill out our FAX order form and send by 1am for next day delivery.

3.Online (up to 12:30am)

Using your online ordering credentials you can place your order via our online ordering portal.

4.Telephone (9am – 5pm) 0808 141 2828

Our office team are available for orders in the day time. After 5pm Monday - Friday it is imperative that you use our Answer Phone service for any orders.

5.E-Mail Orders (up to 12:30am)

Please state your company name, delivery day and order details with as much detail as possible.

Can I order over the phone?

Of course. Our customer service department are open from 9am – 5pm to take order by telephone. After this time we ask that you use our other forms of ordering as detailed above.

How often can we have delivery?

We arrange delivery from Monday to Saturday. Monday delivery availability will depend on the delivery postcode. To find out if we deliver to your area, please contact us.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver across London and some parts of the South East. Some areas are restricted by order volume and we do only deliver to commercial properties (non-residential streets), but if you’re unsure, why not give us a call and let us know your requirements.

What is my minimum delivery requirement?

The minimum delivery requirement is based on your postcode, and will be agreed when your account is opened. If you are already a customer, but are not sure of your minimum, you can email us

Do I have to pay for delivery?

Delivery is free of charge for orders that meet their minimum delivery requirement. Any orders that do not meet their minimum will be subject to a £5 delivery charge. Any orders below £20 will be cancelled.

What if I want to make multiple purchases, but to different addresses?

No problem. But each location should be labelled appropriately when ordering as this helps our drivers and also our accounts team when it comes to invoicing. Each location will be subject to a separate minimum, depending on the delivery postcode.

How do I order online?

Once you have logged into the website using your email address and password, click “Account” at the top right hand side of the page. From here, you will see the categories available to purchase. By clicking into these categories, you will be able to add items to your basket. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Try the “Search Products” option under “My Orders”.Once you have chosen all your items, click “Add to basket”. You will then be able to checkout, and follow the instructions until your order is placed, ready for delivery on your specified date.

Is this a permanent contract?

None of our customers are in a contract unless otherwise agreed.

When will we be invoiced?

From 1st August 2017, you will receive your invoices each Wednesday. For existing clients, the agreed payment terms remain the same.

Our credit clients receive a 7 day credit facility * subject to credit checks. Other credit terms are available upon request.

We believe the 7 day credit term to be fair and expect all clients to pay promptly. Failure to do so may result in the deliveries being stopped until the account is settled in full.

What payment types do you accept?

We accept payment by cheque, BACS and credit card.
Cheques should be made out to Fruit and Veg, Suite 135, 176 South Street, Romford, Essex, RM1 1BW

How do I get my username and password for the online system?

Once you have completed your customer application form, your request will be processed by our customer service team. Please allow 24 hours for this to be processed. When your account has been activated, you will be issued with a username and password for the online ordering facility.

I've lost my password?!

Go to the Login Page and select the 'Lost Password' option. A password reminder will be sent to your registered e-mail address immediately and you will then be able to access your member area. In an emergency, please contact us by telephone.

Where do you source your produce?

We have a facility in New Covent Garden Market London where we source the very best possible produce available from all around the world. We also try hard to support British farmers and work closely with local growers. If you are a British farmer / producer and would like us to consider your products for distribution, then please contact us at

I'm not happy with my delivery

We operate a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. If for whatever reason you are dissatisfied with your items, we will be more than happy to offer you an alternative or full refund. Please keep the offending produce so that we can collect it for our quality control officer. Please note that we will not accept returns if the customer makes an error when placing their order.

What time can I have my delivery?

When placing your order please select your earliest delivery time, and we will try to get as close to that time as possible. Please note we cannot guarantee time slots due to changing nature of delivery rounds. As we are an overnight delivery service, our deliveries are made in the early hours of the morning. If you have somewhere the order can be left safely, or if you have a key or code for early access, please let us know so this can be arranged.
